about me

After more than 25 years in the tech industry—including my last role as European Director at a billion-dollar company—I came to a turning point. Success on paper wasn’t enough. My heart and my reality needed to align.

So, I made a bold decision: I stepped away from the corporate world and chose to begin a new journey.

My name is Aling Wu. As a Mindful-Living Coach, I help people integrate mindfulness, qigong, and energy healing into daily life for more clarity, balance, and vitality.

This isn’t just a career shift—it’s a calling to support others in finding balance, healing, and purpose.

Meditation

I’ve been practicing meditation for over 25 years. I still vividly remember when my teacher said, “Let go of your thoughts.” I was confused—“Thoughts? Why people have thoughts in meditation? ”. Back then, I was a student with a simple world.

As I entered the workfplace, I kept up the practice. That’s when I truly began to understand: thoughts were everywhere. Adult life brought complexity and pressure. Unlike my student days, I became part of a 360-degree demanding society. In moments of stress, sorrow, or burnout, meditation was my oasis. It helped me see clearly—when clarity came, the emotions left. They couldn’t deceive me anymore.

There was a time I stopped meditating. My life had been peaceful for so long that I wanted to feel the “highs and lows” of a full life. I was young and curious. I let go of my practice to chase excitement.

But the “exciting” world isn’t always rosy. Life delivered its share of hardship. When even my rational mind couldn’t help me out of a difficult place, I remembered: Come back to meditation. I was so grateful for the foundation I built in my youth. Even with breaks, that training kept me balanced through life’s storms.

Billy came to my life

We spent 1–2 hours together daily, just grazing. That grazing time was pure zen. No thoughts—just presence. Watching him chew peacefully made me smile. “So happy, just eating grass?” This routine reminded me: meditation doesn’t only happen while sitting. The goal is a clear mind at any moment.

One rainy winter, Billy slipped in the pasture. He fell hard, hitting his shoulder. He stood up quickly and ran again, seemingly fine. But a few days later, he was lame. The vet thought it was a stone bruise or an abscess. We followed treatment steps, and while the abscess healed, the lameness remained. More tests, still no clear answer.

My heart broke. From stall rest to restricted movement, I began massaging him, trying everything—stretching, acupuncture points, anything to bring relief. I studied every resource I could find.

The journey of energy healing

Then I discovered the Masterson Method. The first time I practiced it, I was amazed. How could my hand—held near the bladder meridian—receive such a clear signal of discomfort? How could just being there relieve tension?

One day, while working on Billy’s hindquarters, he was nearly releasing—almost, but not quite. I instinctively channeled energy from my dantian through my palm. Suddenly, his body jolted as if struck by electricity. Then came the big release.

I was stunned. Had I done something wrong? But Billy’s body let go, he kepts yawning for minutes. That day, I realized the power of energy and I needed to learn to regulate energy. There were no books, no teacher, no videos to guide me. Billy became my best teacher.

I’d always felt energy in meditation—in my dantian, in my hands—but had never thought much of it. In mindfulness practice, sensations are observed, not judged. So I never tried to “use” energy. But that moment changed everything.

Billy’s healing became our shared journey. During each session, he was never tied—he chose to stay. Day by day, I observed and listened with full attention. I didn’t always know exactly what I was doing, but it worked. Beyond the pain in his hoof and shoulder, his whole body welcomed the care. The yawns—those beautiful signs of release—kept coming. A professional therapist used to get two yawns in a session from him. With me, he gave ten or more.

Eight-Section Brocade Qigong

I began to wonder—was this what people call energy healing? Where does the energy come from? Giving my own energy to Billy didn’t seem wise. And how could I be sure my energy was even good for him? That’s when Qigong came into the picture. To truly support Billy, I began practicing Eight-Section Brocade Qigong—a powerful way to replenish my energy and maintain my own health. With daily practice, my sensitivity deepened. I could sense imbalances more quickly and offer just the right amount of energy to activate his natural self-healing.

When Billy was living 24/7 in the pasture, I’d do healing sessions in the open field. Other horses began gathering around. They felt it too—the calm, the healing. I did simple releases for them, and they responded. They started yawning too. One by one, they all lay down near me to sleep. Even the difficult ones—horses known for biting—became calm and trusting.

That’s how everything came together:
Mindfulness meditation. Qigong. Equine energy healing.
No mystery—just awareness.

Now, I guide others to reconnect with their mind, energy, cultivate peace in their own lives or even support their animals.

You have the power. I’m here to help you find it.
